Mohamad DiabProduct UI/UX designer — home

Hello! I’m Mohamad Diab

Product UI/UX designer & computer scientist

I design apps and websites from the first user question to the developer handoff — with a computer scientist’s sense of how they actually get built.

Selected work

Apps, websites, brand and information design. Each project starts from the problem it set out to solve.

  1. Project 1 of 4: App design · Mobile app

    Artigo App

A museum companion that helps visitors find the exhibits that matter to them and plan a route that fits their time.

    Role
    UI/UX design
    Team
    Team of four
    Duration
    3 weeks
    Platform
    iOS
  2. Project 2 of 4: App design · Mobile app

    Medicaly

A mobile app for finding a doctor, booking appointments and setting medication reminders without leaving home.

    Role
    UI/UX design
    Duration
    4 days
  3. Project 4 of 4: Product case study · Multi-market platform · 2026

    PhoenixBigo

One identity, many markets: a top-up platform where a country is configuration, not a redesign.

    Role
    End-to-end Product, UI/UX & Technical Lead
    Platforms
    Web, Mobile web

How I work

Every project has an easing curve: a careful start while the problem is still unclear, decisive momentum once it is, and a precise landing in the hands of the people who build it.

  1. Discover

Understand the people, their context and what already exists before drawing anything.

    • UX research
    • Competitor analysis
    • Empathy maps
  2. Define

Turn findings into a sharp problem, a clear structure and the paths people will take.

    • Personas
    • Problem framing
    • Information architecture
    • User flows
  3. Design

Wireframes first, then a visual system that holds together on every screen size.

    • Wireframes
    • Mockups
    • Design systems
    • Responsive design
  4. Prototype

High-fidelity, interactive prototypes, with motion that explains what just changed.

    • Motion
  5. Validate

Test with real users, iterate, and check accessibility and inclusion before anything ships.

    • Usability testing
    • Iteration
    • Accessibility
  6. Ship

Hand off specs a developer can build from, and stay close while they do.

    • Developer handoff
    • Front-end understanding
    • Technical collaboration

Designer, by way of computer science.

A computer science degree changes what I hand over. Here is one control from this site — the contact switch — taken from the drawing to the stylesheet that ships it.

  1. Design

Every state and measurement specified — 132 by 44, a 36 knob, a 4 inset — so nothing is left to guess.

  2. System

Values become named tokens: raised, signal, ink on colour, a pill radius. Design and code share the names.

  3. Behavior

Motion is specified, not improvised: the knob travels 88 in 420 milliseconds on a quick, decisive curve, and its arrow turns.

  4. Build

The stylesheet that ships it. I can read it, question it and work in it alongside the developers who build it.

    .toggle {  --w: 8.25rem;  --h: 2.75rem;  --pad: 0.25rem;  --knob: calc(var(--h) - 2 * var(--pad));  --travel: calc(    var(--w) - var(--knob) - 2 * var(--pad)  );  border-radius: var(--radius-pill);  background: var(--raised);} .knob {  transition:    translate var(--motion-move) var(--ease-snap);} .toggle:is(:hover, :focus-visible) .knob {  translate: var(--travel) 0;  background: var(--ink-on-color);}

The contact switch from this site's header. Every value is the real one from its stylesheet.

Where I’m coming from.

I’m a product UI/UX designer in Beirut, Lebanon. I studied computer science at Beirut Arab University and trained in UI/UX design at SE Factory, so I approach an interface from both ends: how it should feel to the person using it, and what it takes to build.

The problems I keep returning to have real constraints: a flight search people abandon, a museum visit with limited time, a doctor’s appointment without the waiting room. I like making the complicated feel obvious.
